Your Story Our Story, Tenement Museum

Redesigned the curriculum of Your Story, Our Story, a national project of the Tenement Museum. The project was centered on the goal of telling a more honest and holistic story of American cultural identity in ways that honor the complexity and multiplicity of individual experience. Resources were designed for middle and high school, college students, and organizations.

In addition, supported a cohort of ten professionals from small New York state historical societies and historic sites in using Your Story, Our Story to teach about identity and race through a four-session series and individual coaching.

  • Multicolor post-it notes with response to the prompt: What is one thing you will people understood about being a mixed heritage couple... from a focus group.

Reset & Refresh, Jewish Federations of North America

In order to scale the Reset & Refresh program developed by Rabbi Samuel Klein to fill a gap identified in engaging couples with mixed heritage in Jewish life, I documented the program on behalf of the Jewish Federations of North America.

The process included a review of materials, interviews with staff and alumni, observing an event, and leading a focus group with attendants. The resulting educational framework captures the insights collected and provides a comprehensive set of resources for other cities to use to bring Reset & Refresh into their community.

Workshop on Pedagogy & Zoom Skills, NYU ISAW

Designed and facilitated workshops for members of the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW) community interested in developing and leading a continuing education for NYC K-12 teachers as part of the Expanding the Ancient World program.

Dynamic sessions offered participants a range of engagement techniques to build community and curiosity online and in response to identified engagement challenges. Participants experienced the modalities firsthand and then explored ways to utilize the strategies in sharing the ancient world with teachers.
